About Doe Deere and the Lime Crime Company


Doe Deere is a cosmetic entrepreneur who is the founder and CEO of a beauty company known as Lime Crime. Originally from Izhevsk, Russia, Doe Deere and migrated to New York, United States when she was 17 to pursue her ambitions in the field of music. She joined a band by the name Sky Salt where she met her husband Mark, but even though her music career was at its prime, Doe Deere had a stronger liking for entrepreneurship. Again, her ambitions for venturing into the beauty industry had all started when she was younger during a slumber party where they dressed like witches which made her adore makeup.


Doe Deere’s passion for entrepreneurship came to live in 2008 when she opened her Lime Crime cosmetic company. She had started her business back in Russia when she was still a teenager and sold temporary tattoos to her classmates. Further, Doe Deere had registered the Lime Crime Company earlier in the eBay online platform in 2004 for the new DIY fashion line. She is a fashionista by profession who loved bright, unusual colors which go along with makeup hence her unique style of the quirky makeup line. Also, Lime Crime Company has its specialties in lipsticks, nail polish, hair dyes, and eyeshadows among others where its unique colors are hard to find.


Doe Deere’s Typical Day


Doe Deere typical day starts at 8:30 am when she wakes up and gets a glass of water to keep her hydrated from the dry Los Angeles weather. Being a morning person, she is usually very active and starts by doing her morning routine of stretch exercises before having her breakfast. Her breakfast is mainly entails yogurt, fruit, freshly squeezed juice, and her favorite part of it is grits. Moreover, after breakfast she checks her phone then logs into her company’s internal chat system where she chats with her team before responding to her emails.


Doe Deere further checks Lime Crime’s Instagram page to watch out for anything new and upcoming trends. She then dresses up, does her hair and makeup and then gets to spend some time with her two cats, before going to her workplace at 12:30. At the workplace she gets to interact with her team as they have lunch then is off to meetings until 6:00 pm. Ms. Kokkinides provided the open panel with key information regarding the two Medicare Advantage plans that InnovaCare Health has within Puerto Rico. InnovaCare Health serves more than a half million Medicare Advantage members through MMM Healthcare and OMC Medicare Choice. CMS has proposed several changes within 2018 and have made significant budget revisions to government funding within Puerto Rico amounting to over $1 billion since 2011. Ms. Kokkinides spoke to those changes and offered substantial evidence for how CMS could impact the health care system in Puerto Rico by revising its planned payment changes within Medicare Advantage.

Prior to joining the leadership team within InnovaCare Health, Ms. Kokkinides previously held the position of Corporate Vice President for Care Management and Disease Management at AmeriChoice, a subsidiary of the United Health Group Company. Education background

What is interesting with Julie’s education background is that she has a law degree. Julie attended the City University of New York- Brooklyn College where she studied Philosophy. After awhile she changed course and pursued Law at the New York Law School. Her law education helped shape her career.

Professional career

Immediately after completing her law career, Julie secured a job at the Hudson Company as the Director of Candidate placement. For four years, she provided the employees with information on benefits and opportunities for promotion. She also acted as the link between clients and the employees to work through the work conflicts while maintaining legal requirements.

Soon after leaving the Company, she joined the Citi Group. She was with the company for six years and held two different positions. Between 2007 and 2011, Julie was the executive recruiter for the Citi Global Functions. Julie was responsible for executive level recruiting for the senior level roles. She also managed to counsel hiring manager for open positions. Julie was later promoted to the Executive Recruiter for the Citi Global Consumer Bank. Julie was charged with the responsibility of fee negotiation and candidate vetting.

Julie provided ideas on how to deal with competition by developing strategies on building the company. Her active recruitment roles included relocation, negotiation of buyouts, immigration, and clawbacks. She solely managed the international relocations.

For four months, she served as the experienced recruiting lead and Corporate Vice President at the New York Life Insurance Company. She was responsible for providing life-cycle recruiting and talent strategy. Julie has partnered with the management to analyze and determine the client needs and business solutions.

In 2014, Julie joined the Deutsche Bank as the Talent Acquisition and Executive Recruitment Lead. She has been responsible for leading negotiation of positions on the executive level and counseling the executive committee. Julie also creates recruitment strategies.

Providing direction and coaching to the recruitment teams for hiring within the front office was one of her job descriptions. Together with the hiring managers, they brainstorm to come up with networking methods

Aside from a job, Julie cares about other aspects of life including civil rights, social action, animal welfare, science and technology, Human rights, economic empowerment, arts, and culture. She is interested in food, photography and running.
