Impunities such as Police injustice, terrorism, exploitation, and lack of regard for human rights are just a few of the many terrors experienced by people in different parts of the world. More people are rising in protest to condemn these acts of injustice, they want their voice heard, and they refuse to stay silent.
Relentlessly, people gather in groups, and hold peaceful demonstrations, chanting slogans, and holding placards, marching in the streets hoping to make a difference towards a passionate cause. Such groups are highlighted below.
The Larkin and Lacy Frontera fund
They have been very vocal particularly on matters concerning migrant rights. This fund was founded by Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin, with an aim of funding organizations which advocate for migrant and human rights in Arizona.
The two journalists won a court battle, and were awarded $3.75 million in settlement, after facing wrongful arrest by County Sheriff of Maricopa, Joe Apario.
The Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund now looks to use the money to support groups and organizations that fight for migrant, civil, and human rights in the larger Arizona region. The two are also the co-founders of Village Voice Media and Phoenix New Times.
The Advocates for Human Rights
Among the leading civil and human rights groups in the world. Their efforts are focused both locally and internationally. For over three decades they have vigorously remained vocal in matters affecting peoples’ rights. Read more: Phoenix New Times | Wikipedia
They have helped Children, women and families regain their dignity be ensuring the reinforcement of the law equally among all including the immigrants.
Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA)
Another group that is just as passionate about migrant rights. They voice their opinions promoting an all-inclusive society that does not seclude Immigrants.
The organization started after the realization of the 1986 Immigration reform and Control Act that called for a halt in employment of workers who were not documented. The group saw this as a loophole that could lead to exploitation and abuse of workers, most of whom are immigrants. They strongly differed and fought against the law.
This group is involved in joint efforts with other indigenous organizations and environmental groups to advocate for migrant rights.
This group was formed after observing an increase in gas line projects and oil projects which often lead to exploitation of indigenous people if not watched. They concentrate their efforts in the Amazon areas.
The ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project
They work vigorously in conjunction with the above groups to protect the human and civil rights of immigrants. Through litigation, advocacy, and outreach efforts, they have changed peoples’ lives, and helped ensure proper treatment of immigrants.

Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin Return with Front Page Confidential, Targeting John McCain
John McCain, like most of the Republican party, uses war prematurely as a method of diplomacy. McCain has been on television and in the printed page near uncountable times bragging about his time in Vietnam, even calling conscience objectors cowards by saying: “when the going get tough, they find out their conscience is bothering them.”
John McCain, currently battling brain cancer, is revered with the Democratic party at the moment. In a CNN poll, they found that 68 percent of Democrats view McCain favorably. According to FrontPage Confidential, Democrats have forgotten the troubled history of John McCain.
McCain has often flipped his political stance through-out the years. He has voted for stricter gun laws and voted against the same type of legislation, he has bragged about being a POW on numerous occasions, and no one will ever forget his choice for VP when he ran for President.
Front Page Confidential argues that his recent actions are not enough to forgive his troubled past. He should not be viewed as a hero to Democrats.
About Front Page Confidential
Front Page Confidential is the result of two men: Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin. They are established politicians in Arizona, the home state of Joe Arpaio and John McCain.
Joe Arpaio has been the target of Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin for years. As Arizona residents, Lacey and Larkin saw the damage caused by Joe Arpaio first hand. At their previous paper, they pursued Joe Arpaio so heavily that Joe Arpaio responded by arresting them.
Joe Arpaio is responsible for the suffering of hundreds of people. Soon after elected Arpaio opened a cruel detention camp in the Arizona desert, subjugating prisoners to inhumane temperature.
Joe Arpaio grew tired of journalism exposing his immoral affairs, so he arrest Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin. His decision ended up costing Maricopa County nearly $4 million for his attempt to silence the press and violating the first amendment.
